Quaggy River pipes

Another disappearing river, although still to be seen at the surface in Lee and Kidbrook, The Quaggy, is revealed by pipes in Mottingham and this one, on the Lee High Road, in Lewisham.

Other pipes like this are situated just off Albany Road on Bagshot Street in Burgess Park area; on Albnany Road; on Camberwell New Road, near Kennington Park; etc.

Fred - King among Stinkpipes

Finally - we have photographed a stink-pipe that is sited North of the River Thames. This is in Leyton, only discovered because we were diverted from our normal route by Thames Water ring main work by Victoria Park.

This Stink-pipe is on Tower Bridge Road - you can see it (above), stuck on a traffic island, between a public loo and a row of shops.
